Inspection visit by the Care Quality Commission

What do you think about your local health services?

CQC is the independent regulator of all health and social care services in England.

They are set to carry out an inspection at the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust from Tuesday 16 – Friday 19 February 2016.

During the inspection they gather information in a number of ways. For example, they:

• Speak with people who use services.
• Hold a listening event.
• Hold focus groups with separate groups of staff.
• Hold drop in sessions for staff and for people who use services.
• Work with the Patients Association to carry out an analysis of the complaints handling process.
• Interview individual directors as well as staff of all levels.
• Check that the right systems and processes are in place.

They then analyse the information gathered to make judgements about the following questions:

• Are they safe?
• Are they effective?
• Are they caring?
• Are they responsive to people’s needs?
• Are they well-led?

CQC want to hear about your experiences of the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust including any particular areas of concern as well as what is
working well.

Click here to view the date and time when CQC Inspectors will be in the Main Corridor of The Countess to hear the public’s views.

CQC values the views of staff, people who use services, their families and carers. After the inspection they will publish a report on their website. Information will be treated confidentially – names and personal details will not appear in the report.
